The American Music Awards! Let's Talk About It! (Video of Performances Included)

Did you catch it? The American Music Awards aired this evening. Amazing performances by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Mary J Blige and Janet Jacksons. No comment on Adam Lamberts performance. Lets just say ABC will likely edit out some of it. Did you see when J-Lo fell? She attempted to jump off of one of her dancers that she was standing on top of, and took an ugly splat. Great recovery but quite embarrassing. Lady Gaga had fire, and broken glass and a crazy outfit. Timberland also featured his new single. What was your favorite performance. Check out some of the performances below. New Reality Show Alert!!! Guess Which Former America's Next Top Model Contestant is Starring in it?

That's right, former America's Next Top Model contestant and Celebrity Fit Club contestant Toccara Jones has her own reality show now. The show will air on the Oxygen network. Sources say the show will follow her on her daily model, fitness, etc. grind. Word on the street is that Ms. Toccara also has a new man... a certain L.A. Clippers player. Maybe we'll see some of her boyfriend in the reality show. I will definitely be tuned in when it airs. How about you?

Oprah's Calling It Quits!!! We'll Miss You Oprah!

Day time talk show Queen Oprah Winfrey called it quits on her show today. She decided that the 25th season will be her last making the show end in approximately 18 months - 2011. Making it a 25 year run of the Oprah Winfrey Show. To explain the reason of why she was ending, an emotional Oprah said, "I love this show. This show has been my life. I love it enough to know when it's time to say goodbye." Oprah also said, "It feels right in my bones and it feels right in my spirit. Twenty-five is the perfect number. The exact right time." Well Ms. Winfrey, you will be missed, but I have a feeling we'll still see you just in a different capacity.

Miley Cyrus Tour Bus Overturns - 1 Dead!!!!

This morning approximately fourty-five minutes from Richmond, Virginia - Miley Cyrus tour bus went off the road and overturned.  Sources say ten people were on board.  One fatality, which is said to be the bus driver.  The others sustained minor injuries.  Miley was not one of the ten people nor is she at the scene of the accident.  Her management tells TMZ, that it was the crew that carries her lighting.

Virginia State Police say that the roads were wet from the rain on Thursday night, but that was not the cause of this accident.  They are still investigating.  We'll keep you posted as this story unfolds.

Has Rihanna Already Found A New Beau!!!

Insiders are saying that Rihanna and Tristan Wilds from the hit series 90210 are an item.  Wilds was spotted at a party that Rihanna hosted.  Sources say at first they didn't understand why Wilds was there but shortly noticed Rihanna lit up when she saw him.  Some sources are also saying they were openly affectionate with each other.

In previous interviews Rihanna says that she is not interested in dating right now.  Wilds also claims that he has a long time girlfriend in Baltimore, MD.  What do you think? Are they just good friends or could there be a lot more too it?

Oprah - Would That Be A Double Standard?

Rappers Ludacris, 50 Cent, Ice Cube and others in the past have accused Oprah of not representing rappers and of having some sort of beef with them. In June of 2006, Oprah answered back to in regards to the complaint of why she never has them on the show. According to Associated Content, Oprah broke out her ipod and went through some of the content to prove that she listens to Hip Hop and has no beef with the hip hop community. She also made it clear that she wouldn't support any music that glorifies violence and disparage women.


Oprah's view on this has been understood for years. This year Oprah did venture out and have legendary rapper Jay-Z on her show. During the interview Oprah did express her views to Jay-Z about the use of the word n****. They agreed to disagree about the use of the word. Some say that Oprah has sent a mixed message about her views on disparaging women by having porn star Jenna Jameson on her show today. Jenna, is 35 a mother of 2 and has starred in over 100 hard and soft porn adult films.

50 Cent Photographed with Rick Ross kids?? Has This Beef Gone To Far?

Throughout history we have seen several rap beefs. The Notorious B.I.G. vs. Tupac Shakur, 50 Cent vs. Ja Rule, Jay - Z vs. NAS, Lil Kim vs. Foxy Brown, DMX vs. Ja Rule, Eminem vs. Benzino, and the list goes on and on. Some of the beefs have been inspired by lyrical ability, east coast west coast rivalry, in some fashion or way someone feeling slighted by something that another artist has said or done, and so forth and so on.


Sometimes these beefs are escalated by lyrics in music or actions in music videos. Fans bob their head to the music and often times have no ideal the exact meaning of the lyrics.


Recently a beef has been identified between 50 Cent and Rick Ross. Allegedly this beef all started on January 24th when Ross came out with "Mafia Music". Allegedly taking shots at 50 Cent saying, "I love to pay her bills, can't wait to pay her rent, Curtis Jackson baby mama, I ain't asking for a cent, Burn the house down, Gotta buy another, Don't forget the gas can, Jealous, stupid mutha******." 50 responded back with a song called "Officer Ricky (Go Ahead Try Me)" making insults about Ross's previous employment as a corrections officer. The rest is history. Until, 50 has thrown the ultimate punch by filming Ross's son in a video. Check it out. Let me know what you think. Did 50 go to far? Are the children off limits?

Jackson says "I Think He Is Responsible" talking about Dr. Conrad Murray

On the morning of June 25th, 2009 the legendary music great Michael Jackson, collapsed in his California home and later was pronounced dead. Michael Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray is currently under investigation for manslaughter for administering propofol, an anesthetic. Conrad, still denies that he gave Michael anything that could have killed him.

A family that has always been very much in the public eye has remained very closed lipped about the ordeal surrounding the death of Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson, the youngest of the 9 children, has finally come forward to speak about the events of that horrible day as she recalls them in a candid interview with Robin Roberts of ABC.

Jackson recalls being at home and getting the phone call from her assistant telling her that Michael had been taken to the hospital. Jackson says, "I called everyone. There's a line busy or someone wasn't picking up. I spoke to mother. I spoke to Tito. I spoke to my nephew Austin. I spoke to my sister LaToya."

Jackson also says regarding Dr. Conrad Murray, "He was the one that was administering, I think he is responsible."

In recalling the relationship between Jackson and her brother Michael she says, "We were incredibly close. A lot of similarities, his love for children and me being a baby. Would practically do everything together from morning to night every day. Everyday."

Jackson, who is still grieving she says, "It felt like a dream. It's still so difficult for me to believe. It's, you know, you have to accept what is. But it's hard. You have to move on with your life. You have to accept what is and I understand that."
